People keep saying things like this. BE is a community of ex-pats and any "purpose" of this site will ultimately come down to selling space to advertise to that community.
Now, providing information to people based on experience is definitely a beneficial side effect and most people will post helpful things. However people don't keep coming back to this section of BE because they are employees on some "Canada information desk" where their only purpose is to answer questions. They come here because they want to engage with people that have something in common with them - whether it's friendly chit-chat, debate or having a bit of laugh. Like every other on-line community in fact. I'm done whining! |

Hi
Hubby has just been taken on at work permanently. He starts with them next week officially (although has been there a while through an agancy with the agency paying him weekly). My question is, when will he receive his first bi weekly pay? He has checked their pay run, which is due 2 weeks after he starts......is it normal for Canadian companies to pay straight away, or would he have to work 2 weeks in hand - ie. work for 4 weeks before first pay day....... If that makes any sense? I kmow all companies are different, but just wondered how it has worked for others? |
