Best tire provider------winter and summer
I need to buy some new tires for my Dodge Caravan. Ive saved a bit of money so Im thinking of purchasing both winter and summer ones in one go-----this helps with a bit of a tax write off too, if not I would spread it out.
Without traipsing all over the city to check, Costco, CND Tire, OK Tire, Buddies Tire etc. Who do people generally recommend for the best value. I live in Halifax, but i'm sure its pretty much the same Canada wide? Thank you. Lamin |

But if want Nokian tires and you live in BC, you need to go to Kal Tire to buy them. |

My dealership got me tires at manufacturer cost to them, so I reckon I got a decent deal out of that. if you do regular services at your dealership and they know you ask them and see what they can do.

Costco seems to be a good place if they carry the size you need.
Last time we used Fountain Tire, $108 per tire if I recall. kumho solus which are fine for year round in Vancouver, while they are legal for highway winter driving in BC, I wouldn't try to climb mountain highways with them, but we don't leave Vancouver in winter and for Vancouver they do fine in winter. 2 weeks after we got the new tires, we ran over a screw, and Fountain replaced the tire with a brand new one even though they didn't have to, so I thought that was good service. |

If you don't want the bother of phoning around then Costco. You aren't going to lose out particularly & likely get a good price.
If you want the absolute lowest price then spend half an hour phoning around. This is one of those things local rather than national. |

OH generally finds tires (and rims) on Kijiji, but you do have to know what you are looking at as descriptions of wear and tear can be quite random. A lot of people sell their summers/winters part worn as they have no where to store them or have just bought a new car and the tires/rims won't fit on the new car.
