best suburb
 
hi ex pats some info needed please what is considered the best suberb to look at for a brit? for schools and general living

where do you live and what are the good and bad bits about it>?

Well, suburb comes from the Latin sub 'under' and urbs 'city'. Basically, they're asking about sewers.

If I had to, I'd choose under a restaurant quarter. They're never gonna be nice, but at least might be some spices to hide the smells.

In Toronto, I'd say the Beach but there's also a good case for Leaside. Still, if you've the money, there's a lot to be said for living downtown instead; none of that awful commuting.
