The level of your concern should be related to the strength of the fence

I'm fairly sure that I'm still on the party list, although I can't imagine why, begorrah.

Much of it. Four season rampant mentalism, a love of gasoline powered toys, bacchanalia aplenty, bush partyin' random redneckery, and a great love of the "BC cactus" AKA the herbal Christmas tree. Every day is a day spent in Narnia.

Do the people local to you have a distinctive look or is that just north of highway 7? It's a running joke where we are that all the natives look the same - they do because they're really not receptive to people from elsewhere.

Presumably you have local motorcycle gangs, have you solicited their opinions? How about horse dealers? Much as I like Paul Garrison I don't consider him, or his friends, to be any sort of liberals. Do you have religious extremists there, people such as the Mennonites that are so common to the west of Toronto? Again they're not receptive to aliens.

I often park beside the menonites horse and buggy at band practice on Tuesday nights. They tend to keep themselves, and there views, to themselves. They also are to be seen shopping at the local korean owned convenience gas bar.
I golf with a local horse trainer...nothing extreme about his politics.
7s a bit north of me, but my best friends wife is from Bancroft and there is nothing odd about her, and her kids and grandkids cover almost every colour in the spectrum.

Ha!
I suppose it's possible that the social climate is more relaxed your way. Those people local to us who weren't born in the county tend to be refugees from Brampton; they tend to the type of extreme view people who lived in Southall or Bradford hold. Tottenham in particular seems an intolerant place.

I lived in Brampton from 1989 - 1992 and for many long term residents of Brampton, the place was getting a bit too brown for their liking at that point. I can see that they would head up #10 into outer exurbia.
Bramalea always seemed to have a lot of old school scottish people (emigrated in the 60's/70's) and clinging to their pub culture, fish and chip shops and the like.
Back in 1989- 1992, despite the number of indian people in Brampton, it didn't seem to have a lot of indian restaurants (this may have changed now).
