I've always fancied Ozone, ON. But I'm funny that way.

Isn't there a town called Asbestos somewhere in Quebec? I always thought that had a lovely, pastoral sound.

I knew someone from Asbestos. Eventually she moved to Spain, perhaps seeking a fiery Mediterranean type of girl.

CBSA employees enjoy working at the ports of Climax and Big Beaver (just recently closed) in Saskatchewan and Beaver Creek in the Yukon.

There was that series of books a few years back called 'Craptowns UK' which caused much uproar amongst the civic leaders of places that were lampooned. My town of birth was designated the 7th crappiest place to live in The UK one year!

I'm sure there's scope & material for a Canadian version? I wonder how it would go down? Would the locals 'get' the humour?

At least the OP would know potential places to avoid?

I absolutely love Kelowna,BC (as do most people). Wineries, orchards and 30 lakes within 30 minutes. It rarely snows in the city, but has world class skiing 45 minutes out of town. The weather is much nicer than Vancouver and the real estate is much cheaper.

I live in Alberta, but vacation in Kelowna.

I thought it awful. Thirteen months of bitter cold leavened by six weeks of rampant bugs and a government town to boot, Swindon without the glamour.

Aviator - I thought you had your million dollar mansion in Greenwood?

Anywhere in BC except Vancouver (unless it's the North Shore). Anywhere east of the Rockies in a waste of time.

You and every other Albertan - we refer to it as "red tide" in the summer.
