No need to change any codes when you can buy a multi region dvd player for under $40

Absolutely CostCo. They offer reasonable priced extended warranty also, or buy it on a credit card that offers that. Just know that a lot of their TVs are "current model - 1", so 2020 versions, which are all fine and easier to find reviews on.
BestBuy also have some good deals if can find something a sale.
Amazon offer good prices on Toshiba Fire TV.

Up until late last year although COSTCO had good prices on TV's they were usually older models. Today they are selling some of the latest models Sony A90/A80 OLED models and have good prices. Personally I prefer to buy a TV from independent electronic stores for delivery and set up although I know COSTCO offer white glove service.
I find shopping carts are better and do more damage to the assholes who leave their carts in the middle of the aisles rather than a flimsy shopping basket

Re: Best Place to get a TV
There isn't an independent electrical retailer in this part of the world anymore. I did buy a TV from them 3 years ago but the most recent purchase came from Costco. It's a challenge, buying a TV from Costco in St John's to be sure. The new Costco store opened last year in the Galway retail park (the ego community constructed by the former premier Danny "Muskrat Falls" Williams) which is the highest and windiest place in the city. In a city famed for being windy. I found my sailing skills came in useful in tacking the cart and TV along the car park aisle until I got to the car. Loading it into the car without being blown away required two people and some commitment.
