Bastard
So now that I have your attention, anyone care to tell me what's it's like out there? I came across it whilst MLS-ing We've been toying with the idea of going east for some time and had always thought about NS, but recently we've taken a closer look at ON and have Barrie, Hamilton (or is it Hampton?) and so on in mind. I couldn't quite get my head around Bastard, ON though. I mean, come on, is this for real? (I know it is, I just wanted to check).
So, any Bastards out there? What's it like to be a Bastard? And seriously, what is it like in the town re work, prospects, housing etc. from those in the know?
I'm sure this'll spark some conversation ....

Re: Bastard
Question: What is a bastard exactly?
Quite often we ask ourselves hard to answer questions, like, “What is a bastard?”
And we wax philosophic with metaphysical postulations, incomplete aphorisms, and inconsistent sophisms that make one more and more sure that the only true thing is that: “a picture is worth a thousand words.”
In this photo, the guy on the right is a member of a bomb squad in the middle of a deactivation.

The guy behind him, well, he's a bastard.

Re: Bastard
i am a soldiers son and grew up in Germany whilst my father served over there. I remember on our numerous visits back to the Uk via ferry, dad used to always stop off at the last petrol station he knew of before the Dutch or was it Belgium boarder.
