Background Checks By Possible Employer

Hello all.

I think I am happy, I think we are getting closer and closer to an official job offer. Since the company is fairly big it seems they have strict rules on what needs to be done before a letter can be sent which has the actual job offer in it.

Has anyone of you ever done this, is there a way to make this easier for the employer. Here is what I have done for them:

I supplied them with a list of contacts for references for current and past employers and some of the voluntary work I have done.

I supplied them of a recent copy of a Criminal Records check
I supplied them with my Driver's license number.

Naturally I would like this to progress as smoothly and quickly as I can so we can tackle the dreaded LMO :P

If you have any tips on what else I could be doing, please do let me know.

Thank you!

Hi there and well done for getting this far.

I think you'll need to expand a little on what your current circumstances are, i.e. are you living in the UK or Canada, is it a temporary or permanent job offer, does the role fit in the states most wanted list etc etc.

BTW, how did you find the role in the first place as I am finding it tough going applying/networking from the UK.

Cheers
Jason

I live in the UK. It is for a Permanent Role, but we will go the Temporary Work Permit at Point of Arrival. The company is handling the LMO, it is robably NOC code 0213.

But that is all handled I am more interested in how I can help them to satisfy their company internal reference checking and background checking.

Sorry, I know I've not answered your question but is that even possible? surely your job offer has to be for a temporary role in order to gain a TWP?

Well in this case it is an arrangement between me and my employer. My situation is that I have a girlfriend in Canada, so after a year we will apply for my PR using the Common-law Family class. So the Employer pretty much knows I am gueranteed to stay with them.

Therefore they are willing to "convert" the perm role into a temp role for LMO and TWP purposes.
