Hi all, just looking for some advice please. I am pregnant, baby is due in July. I'm in Canada as I have PR. I am thinking of coming back to the UK in September (when the baby has a Canadian passport) and I am wondering how the baby can travel back with me to the UK? I am thinking of staying in the UK for 6 months or so. Would the baby need a visa or ETA to return to the UK with me?
Thanks,
Thanks,

As a Canadian passport holder then the baby can stay up to six months as a visitor visa-free but I would advise obtaining a British passport for him or her as well if eligible in case of a medical issue so you won’t be liable for any potential costs.

Also healthcare residency in Canada. OHIP cuts off if you're gone more than six months in twelve.

Yes, I am a UK citizen (born and bred) and I hold a valid British passport.
I am likely to return to Canada within the six months but I just wanted to check.
Will the baby automatically have dual citizenship for both countries?
