B & B's in Kits?
Hi, I've had a search on previous threads and the wiki, but can't seem to find if this has been asked before, my apologise if it has:blink:
Does anyone have any info on short term accommodation for approx 20 days, from 12th Jan 2012? Preferably in Kits. OH is landing to look for somewhere for us all to live, he isn't bothered about sharing a bathroom as long as he's got his own room. Obviously we want to pay as little as poss and save our money towards the rent on somewhere more long term when the kids and I get there. Many thanks in advance, brookel |

No problem. Just to add that you will find that B&Bs are often quite "posh" and not necessarily a cheap option for accommodation. A motel room with a kitchenette can work out to be more cost effective. Especially if he can microwave some of his own meals.

And, if budget is an issue, you can also look at the YWCA Hotel downtown. own rooms, shared bathrooms, and very reasonably priced.

Re: B & B's in Kits?
Agreed that B&Bs are typically expensive romantic getaway destinations here, not cheap accommodation options.
Other considerations: UBC has accommodation options. The campus is a short distance west of Kits: http://www.ubcconferences.com/accommodations/ The Kingston in downtown Vancouver is what would be called a "European style B&B" in Canada, probably similar to what you had in mind: http://www.kingstonhotelvancouver.com/ |
Re: B & B's in Kits?
Thank you everyone for your replies, I've had a look at all the links you've provided and emailed a couple that look like what we're looking for. A few are equivalent to £55 p/n which I think is pretty good, as that's what Travel/Premier Inns cost here in Blighty. Thanks again:thumbsup:
