B&B st john's newfoundland

hello all,

i will be arriving in st john's newfoundland 22nd of jan. I'm looking to then stay in a B&B/ cheap hotel until i find a place to rent.
I start work on the 26th of jan, so imagine i will still be looking for a place to rent at this time...so i need to be staying in a B&B close enough to be able to walk to work, which will be on water street st john's.

any help..ideas on places to stay would be hugely appreciated

regards

Ben

Might be worthwhile checking out a website called Tripadvisor. You would be able to search for tourist accomodation in the area. There is also a forum on this website where you can ask for recommendations on accomodation.

Try the provincial tourism website & search for B&B accomodation in St John's. Water Street is the main drag in a compact downtown area. There are several B&B's within easy walking distance but I'm afraid I don't have any experience to recommend them by.

Can't help with the B&B's downtown I'm afraid.

However, we have rented two separate properties from this guy:

Once, on holiday we rented one of the flats for 10 days. Then, when we first moved over, we rented one of the houses for 3 months. The flat we stayed on was on Gower street, which is easily walking distance from water street - it's the street which runs parallel to water, two blocks up.

Nothing fancy, but handy and reasonable rates if you are staying for a longer time.

Feel free to ask any questions, we've been here over a year now and are glad to help!
