Post Auto trader-pre owned

What does it mean when it says pre owned. They seem to have really good expensive vehicles for peanuts, does it mean lease on top?

It means used. Not new. pre is short for previously owned.

I would agree, but there seems to be an awful lot of misprints, is 500,000 km really bad for 5.4 engine, as i understand the bigger the engine the longer it lasts.

thats a hell of a lot of kms.It may be the correct price I'm not sure but you don't see many vehicles with that mileage.I wouldn't even buy a good diesel truck with that kind of mileage. I used to be in the car trade for a while here and haven't come across such high mileage before.

I agree 500,000kms sounds really high. I should imagine the truck is a bag of poo hence the low price.

This is not necessarily the case.

Back in the sixties and seventies north american engines were usually in need of rings and valves at 100,000 miles (160,000 kms) far short of your figure.

Be very careful with Auto trader there are more scams on there then there is on craigslist at the moment. If the vehicle price seems to be to good to be true then it’s a scam, any mention of free delivery or e bay payment services run a mile. Auto trader should be doing some think about it.

From what I remember the scam ads on Kijiji (or however you spell it) always used to be for $2800... no idea why they made themselves so obvious by not even changing the price be it for a Civic or NSX.

IMO they are probally in debt and need the money, with the big R hittting getting the cash is more important than the car.
