Default Athletic Clubs in and around MIssissauga

My son is very active in the UK in Judo and Track. It's quite cheap in the UK actually.

We'd like to live near Mississauga where my parents have moved.

Looking for a Judo club and a Track club to join in or near Mississauga. Any one living there could give some tips.

Also here he is involved in a couple of council music clubs - free of charge. Which help him not only learn new instruments - but also to compose and play in bands. Is there anything similar in Mississauga?

Cheers.

Hi rawsalad

We’re hoping to move to Mississauga later this year (fingers crossed) and also have a son in judo. I’d found this place but hadn’t got as far as finding out about classes, costs etc

How old is he? Most high schools will have a track & field program, and there are two or three clubs in Mississauga that cater to different standards and ages - Google is your friend, unless somebody with more direct experience can comment here.

Your best bet for finding out about music opportunities is probably to look at the City's culture & recreation site (Mississauga.ca - Residents - Recreation) to see if there's anything suitable run by the city; otherwise it'll be through school (mostly concert band rather than rock band stuff), through private tuition, or simply by finding a bunch of like-minded people and jamming.

If he's at high-school age and genuinely talented in music, look at Cawthra Park Secondary School - a regional specialty arts school within the public education system.
