Happy New Year to you all!
Of course you've been wondering...we had a dusting just after Christmas, but it's all gone again. Richmond Hill is green again, and since I will be voting in the next election (find the link yourselves), maybe it'll get even Greener.
I hear the Hogmanay do in Edinburgh was cancelled?

Bad weather in the guise of gale force winds and rain meant that all kinds of "dos" were cancelled.
We had to curtail our firework fun last night coz the wind was blowing the things all over the bloody place
I believe they cancelled the event in your old stomping ground as well!!
Bit of snow in Barrie I'm told, but now all gone......Freakin El Nio:scared:

Not only is it emphatically snow-free in these parts, the forecast daytime high for today is +13C (55F for dbd and other cave-dwellers).
This is getting silly.

It was cold yesterday, on Saturday morning the thermometer at the 401 and 400 said 48, on Sunday morning it said 35, so we were lucky it rained; it could have snowed.

Well, it's -2C outside and we've had 2mm of s-n-o-w! Is this finally the start of winter?
(dbd, that means its 28 and two fifths degrees Fahrenheit and we've had five one hundred and twenty sevenths of an inch of snow...I hope that's clear).

Thank you for that clarification but I believe the correct imperial term is "a sprinkling" or, in the US, "a sprinkle".
