arrived st john's

hi there,

just thought id update. flew to halifax, got my TWP then jumped on connecting flight to st john's..now here i am.

Now I'm looking for a place to rent but it is harder than i thought...
can anyone recommend nice areas?

Really i need to be able to walk, or at least get bus to water street. Had a look at some houses in downtown west st john's...but seems a bit industrial down there...
If anyone has any information on places to rent...maybe agents/landlords...would be great to hear.

Cheers
Ben

Welcome!

Bit cold i'm afraid just now, but so far this winter at least not quite so much snow as last year.

We rented from this guy when we first came over Dec 07 - http://www.alcovesuitesandchalet.com/

He has a couple of long term rental properties.

The local newspaper, the telegram usually has a couple as well.

Welcome indeed, nothing really to add, Pink Mc (happy Burns day BTW) is full of great advice, my advice right now is don't go out unless you have too!

Hope you enjoy the new chapter in your life, and help you need, please just ask.

Chris.
