yes, we do have kids but only one going into highschool......handsworth high is very good as a high school and i heard that for elementary schools, canyon heights or highlands school in edgemont was good as was braemar over in delbrook.......
our oldest will go to capilano uni.....
there seems to be alot of choice and other schools to consider are argyle high and fromme elementary, both over in lynn valley.

No kids, but we're thinking about starting a family so did look into schools etc. gibsonslanding hit nail on the head - upper lonsdale, capilano areas are really great. Lynn valley is also nice, and slightly cheaper.
You'll probably need more like $800-900k to get what you're after in those areas, although prices have slipped a little recently.

Re: Areas of Vancouver
Can I just ask - the mls web site - are the prices realistic -ie is that what is offered or do the properties sell for considerably more?

Re: Areas of Vancouver
The properties I've purchased here have been secured for between 5-10% lower than the asking price.

Re: Areas of Vancouver
They're the listed asking prices. You can offer as much or as little as you deem is appropriate according to market conditions or the desirability of the property. Get in a bidding war, and the price can go up - it's no different from the UK.

thought it was prob like that - - but was sure I read some where before that some one was moaning that she was being shown nothing similar to those shown on MLS!
