Anyone know Leduc?

We've seen a nice property in Leduc - can anyone tell me about it? Is it a nice community etc? I also wondered, as it is near the airport is it noisy?

Thanks all :)

Hi there,
We lived in Leduc for 9 years we just moved out of there last August. It is quite a nice community. Aircraft noise is a problem is some areas of Leduc, mainly near Telford Lake which is an older area of town, and also an area called Meadowview which is on the flight path for aircraft. We didn't find the planes a huge problem it is something that you get used to quite quickly. The trains also run through Leduc which are also pretty noisy, but at least they have stopped them blowing their whistles now within the city limits. Leduc has a Wal-mart, Canadian Tire, and other shops on the new Leduc Common (newish retail area) Leduc also has all the usual grocery shops, Sobey's, Safeway, Extra Foods. Bridgeport and Windrose are nice areas of Leduc, lots of new houses going up there. Tribute is a very fast growing area of Leduc too, but we find that they are just cramming the houses in there with hardly any space inbetween!
Drive from Leduc to Edmonton is 20-30 mins, and from Leduc to airport 10-15 mins.
Good Luck in your search :)

I think you'd need to research the exact location within Leduc. When i've been there at Safeways, the airplanes fly right over the roof, and i mean RIGHT OVER the roof. LOW!!!!!!.

Access to the city would be straight up the QE2 highway. The town seems pleasant enough, but not having lived there, can't comment any more than that.

My hubs colleague lives there and she is pretty close to the railroad, which she said can be quite noisy. Esp in the middle of the night (as you can imagine)

Definately need to pick your spot me thinks! ;)
