If you already have a cv then just do it yourself - honestly the differences aren't that great. http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Resume

Don't waste your money! They are the same thing, all you need to do is set it out correctly.............Workopolis has some good advice on how to create one. Also as a professional Recruiter you can tell when someone has had a resume written for them and you know its going to be painful.

I'm actually shocked that professional resume writing services even exist

Me too!
Wow, if there's a need for that, I'll do it!!

Not much to change on them really, except omit a few bits such as DOB (if you put it on there), change over the spelling to accommodate the 'North American' way of spelling such as 'specialise' to 'specialize' etc...

Oh, and put your Canadian address on there!

Can I have $50 for that now please?!

I used the advice from the WIKI on here...it's brilliant. Didn't take too long to do a general one which can then be tweaked for each job.

Hopefully you can then save your cash...

Thank you.
I have had mine done by Willis Brazolot as part of their permanent residency service to me. It is very basic and is easily done. PM me if you want a copy of it and my orginal CV so you can compare.

Go on the t'internet there are lots of websites out there. It's really quite straight forward. so don't waste your money.

Just change the paper size format from A4 to 8-1/2" x 11" and call it a resume.

Interesting, how do professionally written resumes differ? Too much fluff?

Professionals use Tahoma. Amateurs, not knowing any better use Arial - and as everyone knows employers hate that.
