Default Anyone had medicals in Canada

We have received our med requests and have made the appointment for our medicals in Halifax. We have been asked to bring 3 passport photos along.

Can anyone please clarify if we need to have the smaller UK passport size photos or the larger Canadian passport size photos. Also, do they need to be identical or just similar as I have a few odd ones lying around all of which are quite recent.

Thanks, from one very stressed but very happy BE member.

I would be wary as there is Canadian passport size and Canadian immigration size, when I had mine done at AMA they pointed it out.

Yes, that's my problem. I didn't know that there were 2 sizes until I went to have them done. The Doctors clerk had said "passport photos", and she is in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but the photographer offered passport or immigration sizes. If it was for PR cards I know it would be immigration size, but for the medicals I am not sure.

I had my medical in Toronto and was asked to bring passport photos. I had mine done at Shoppers, got Canadian passport size and they were accepted no problem.

I checked back but not sure how helpful this is as it was almost two years ago, but the message sent to me was "we will require one additional passport size picture of yourself for the medical form. "

Hi

I had the same dilemma - I took the ones of my husband and I (all the same) which were left over and were from the UK machines in the supermarket (I bought them over with me).

Then as I had no kids ones left - went to a photographer in a small mall over here who took photo's for Passports (which were flipping huge!), and took them for the kids. (The MOA did trim them slightly)

No one batted an eyelid when I gave them to the Medical Administrator or since.

Hi Brownstar

Saw you went to AMA to get your photos, I am assuming that this is Alberta Motor Association, if so did not realise that they did them as we are also a member and if so how much did they cost, so when we get to our turn we could consider going there. Thanks
