Anyone Else Having a Bad Day
 

Got up this morning and found flying ants dotted around the apartment, buzzing around near the windows. Hate those bloody things due to a childhood trauma of sorts involving ants :eek: No idea how they got it.

So got rid of those, went to put the TV on and the cable box is broke, and they can't come out till Monday!!

Finally I had speak to some idiot at HSBC in the UK as they are currently holding the remainder of the money from our house sale and appear reluctant to give it back!!!!

Hope you are all having a better day. Think I'll just go back to bed :(

A bad month, sorry to hear that, but on a lighter note it made me feel a bit better, at last mine is just today. Chin up though, only today to get through and you are in July....count down the hours :)

I'm having a spectacularly bad month and things are not likely to improve any time soon. The project I am working on is a nightmare. I have spent weeks trying to contact people in a certain industry in the US to arrange face-to-face meetings. Our contract requires that we carry out about 25 such meetings. I have so far managed to arrange precisely zero meetings. To make matters worse, that industry shuts down for the whole of next week and the week after that everyone will be playing catch-up, so no chance of taking with anyone then. The deadline for delivery is pretty soon after that. I can only take heart from the fact that my boss is faring no better with her part of the job.

Worse still, I had an email from my niece in NZ yesterday informing me that I am to become a great uncle on my birthday next year. I'll be 44. That's too young to be a great anything.

Good day / bad day

Found out that our house sale will complete, finally, next Friday. (Woo-hoo)
Found out that I'm likely to be made redundant on Monday. (Waaagh)
Its a lovely sunny day and tomorrow / sunday will be the same. (Woo-hoo)
Found out I'll miss my daughter's school summer barbie next week. (Waaagh)
Cos I'll be in the South of France playing golf (Woo-hoo)
Decided we can't afford to move to Calgary (OK cheating that was earlier this week) (Waaagh)
So SK, NB, NS or MB it will have to be (woo-hoo)

I know the feeling, got made redundant beginning of June, did my back in doing some temporary work on Wednesday just gone, didn't win the lottery either :(

Now I know it's not just me, feels a bit better, especially as other peoples problems appear to be worse :eek:

Actually sorted one of them,

Went to a Rogers store downtown and swapped the defective box for another. In fact it turned out to be a newer model (hoorah), although the High Def cable I order yesterday will no longer fit (booo), and tigerdirect.ca say they won't except returns of this particular cable (double boo)...........what do they think I'm going to do with it?

Hmmmm, do you need a speshal visit to the vet koogar? I'm sure he's got a couple of bricks to sort ye out ;) Ahhhh, only kidding. I'm so glad it's Friday. No work for 2 days :D

No work for 4 days here. The 4th falls on Tuesday so very few people in North America will work Monday resulting in a nice long break.
