I'm glad I grew up down south.

There are no spotty girls in Lancashire - they all bloom and blush like Lancashire Roses.

You can't beat a traditional Northern bonfire night - the intoxicating aroma of cheap cider, spliffs and burning rubber, as friends and neighbors stand, side by side, basking in the warm glow of a burning Vauxhall Corsa.

In Canada, I've heard that you need a permit to buy cheese on a Sunday, wash your car, get up before 6am or let your cat outside. Good god, give me strength

Oh depends on where you are really, where I'm at you can pretty much do what you want. I'm actually amazed that some places its the law that you must mow your lawn... blows my mind really.

Not quite - it's just that June's weather in the north feels like November 5th's weather in the south!

Yes, Rye's events are always spectacular. I do miss my annual Pope-burning pilgrimage, with fish n chip supper!
Yes the pope burning always attracts controversy! I had to explain to someone that its not the current pope we burn....
