Anybody in Regina at present

Please comment only if you currently live in Regina.

We are soon to fly out to Regina and have a meet and greet with the company I will be working for.
After negotiating and completion of my contract with them we are looking at about July time for the immigration paper work to be completed and then move out there.

We have done plenty of research about the place on here and through the web, so we have a general idea but are looking for some first hand info please.
We are from London originally (moved out in 2007) and have been living in a small village in Cambridgeshire up till now, so the change wont come to any surprise to us. (wife's been to Canada though)
We have been looking at properties around the Harbour Landing area also shopping, schools etc.
What's you experience with Regina ? either good or bad please let us know.

Thanks Siouxie

Trawled through those threads a number of times in the past and picked up some good info. Tim Johnson's review has got to be the best one, in the end if you don't like it where you are you can always move on.

Thanks again

How does moving from London to Cambridgeshire prepare you for a move to Regina?

I've visited on business, but not lived there. Unfortunately only seen it in the depths of winter - it was as cold as I've ever experienced in Canada, grey and bleak. Seemed a friendly enough place, lots of open spaces, and I'd imagine it's quite pretty in the summer. I'd miss the topography of BC living there though, it's a relatively featureless landscape.
