Suncor are a pretty big canadian energy company, but I have no idea what they would be like to work for.
Oil sands presumably? North, remote, hard work, good pay, brutal winter, brutal bug season...

Re: Anybody heard of Suncor Career Centre?
i got offered a job to work for them in a tax role. i turned them down to work for a smaller oilfield service company (where my boss is the CFO, rather than my boss' boss' boss' boss' boss' boss' boss is the CFO).
since they merged with petro canada i believe they are now the largest oil and gas company in canada, if not the largest company in canada? my former boss worked for them for a few years and he said they were good to work for, but he kind of got the whole "being treated like a number" feeling in the end and moved on.
however, there are plenty of reasons to want to work for a big oil company:
- typically they pay ridiculous salaries (they were offering me 90k to do what they described as an entry level job that i would have expected a 50-60k offer for anywhere else).
- they also give you good benefits
- typically they give you stacks of flex days. i heard that CNRL are giving their staff every friday off during the summer, on top of something like 15 flex days per year
