Also moving to Vancouver
Hello all,
Just a quick hello, after a little lurking. My partner is from BC and has been living with me in the Uk for a couple of years, and now she's sponsored me to move to Canada. We sent the application back in the middle of March, and got a letter today saying that she has been found to be fit to sponsor me and the application has been transferred to the UK office for my processing. Very exciting indeed. I find it odd though - my partner was able to come here on the basis that her grandfather was a UK citizen, and they processed that automatically and in 10 days. My grandfather (and my uncles, but not my mother) is a canadian citizen, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.... Oh well. Things seem to be moving. Does anyone know how encouraging that letter should be viewed as? Is that the hard part done, or just starting? |

Don't be embarrassed about the lurking, we've all be guilty of it in the passed. But thankfully, it doesn't show up on the Police checks!  :p I wish you a smooth and trouble free journey ahead. Good luck. |

Good Luck on your move to Vancouver  Island Girl |
