all settled
hi all
i thought i would take to minutes to say thanks for all your advice, we now live in moose jaw and love it. We arrived on 27th april and have brought a car, a house, have health cards, sask driving licences, my son has started a french immersion school and we really feel at home here, Every one has been so helpful in moose jaw and we havent had any problems with anything because we came with all our paper work. My advice would be to find out what you need for morgages and banks, and even all your utilies bills before you come and it really does help. We are now living in a apartment waiting to move into our new house. Good luck to the rest of you all taking the plunge. |
Re: all settled
Hi freshstart39,
OH and I are also hoping to go to SK. Did you go on SW visas or a quicker route. Glad everything has worked out for you. We have looked at Moose Jaw area ourselves, very few on the forum seem to go to Saskatchewan. OH is applying for car mechanic jobs all over SK but so far no joy. He did have a job offer at the end of April from a GM dealer in Kindersley but since then we have heard nothing. People tell me to be patient that its the Canadian timeframe for doing things - but I guess he has forgotten about us. Anyways, enjiy Moose Jaw. What is your current weather like. My parents think by insisting that it smows in Canada most of the year that they will out us off going!! Weather in Northern Ireland since the start of May has been crap. |

Moose Jaw is great, we really enjoyed ourselves when we came for a research trip. Sandra and Tyler were really nice and Don Paul was really helpful aswell. Thanks for the messages and Phone calls, all the info really paid off for us. Well take it easy and we will see you next year. Karla and co x x x x |

Hi Mrs Willow,
We are also coming to your fine province! Where in Sask are you? How long have you been there. Alison:thumbup:

Welcome to Saskatchewan! Not many of us on here. Though we are hundreds of miles away it is nice knowing that there are others in this fine province!

It is very beautiful up here. I grew up here, met my English man, married him, moved to the Cotswolds and lived there for 10 years. We packed up and arrived back in Sk in November. |
