Default Alberta, Red deer

My Family and I will be Arriving in Alberta next April after a short stay in Barrie, Ontario. I was just wondering what Red Deer is like? If anyone has any good info about the place post a reply.

Thanks...

Sorry, I don't, but this question is asked from time to time. Here is a link to previous threads on Red Deer.

Piff Poff and Alberta Jaycee should be popping by soon. They live there so can give you the insider view.

Other posters believe it could be the next 'boomtown'.

My initial reaction on seeing it (18 months ago) was YUK. Been back a couple more times and actually it's got some nice(r) looking areas. Only thing for me (edmonton suffers from the same) is distance from the mountains.

RED DEER IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE!!!!! PM me with any Q's We love it here and are really pleased our cards fell this way, no complaints from us. Of course there are downsides........like having to queue at Timmies and........... there must be others but on the whole it's not too bad, it has everyhting you need and it is just 1.5 hours from both Edmonton and Calgary, roughly 2 hours to the fabulous rockies and eerie Drumheller, schools are good, and it is boomtime here. Look forward to hearing from you.
