Alberta Drivers License

I have been living in the UK for the past 9 years and hold a UK driving license.

However I still have my Alberta one, but it's obviously really out of date now and should have been renewed ages ago.

This may be a dumb question, but is it still possible to renew my Alberta license even though I've not driven there for 9 years, or do I have to trade in my UK one for a new Alberta one?

Thanks :o

I read somewhere that if your Alberta drivers licence has been expired for more than 3 years you have to retake the written exam and the road test. If you go to one of these Registry Offices for your drivers licence you can now obtain or update your Alberta Health Card at the same time.
