AINP

If you get nominated through the AINP, with the help of your employer, and you decide to leave that employer to go look for another job elsewhere within Alberta, can you apply for an open work permit with the government using the positive nomination? Or do you have to stay with that employer who helped to get the nomination until PR is granted?

I might be corrected on this, but the PNP is employer driven and they basically sponsor you for PR. If you leave, the PNP process will cease. If you've already got PR, you can then leave, but it would seem like a bit of a shitty thing for you to do... especially if you leave within say 2 or 3 years.

Also paints other Brits in a bad light, and employers might be less inclined to go through the process again if they feel the employees are taking advantage.

We did AINP without employer. OH had the qualifications to go through without having to have arranged employment, so it can be done without an employer, but only as long as you have the correct qualifications.
