Advice on Schools Saskatoon

Hi Guys

Im gonna move to Saskatoon next spring and work as an Electrician. We have a little boy who will be three years old when we arrive.

I know schooling obviously depends on where exactly you live but does anyone have any advice/experience of the Sask school system.

Any info/messages would be most appreciated

thanks.

Re: Advice on Schools Saskatoon

i know you asked this a while ago we moved to the area in August after looking at some of the city schools all of which seemed good but mot were very large and our children are older 11 and 8 had been going to a small village school in the UK we oped to move to Martensville a small town north of Saskatoon takes me 25 mins to get downtown to work so not far out we have two excellent ellementary schools with small classes and plenty of teaching assistants as well good teachers kids can walk or cycle to school in the city and in our town it is amazing how many small kids go to school on their own no 4x4s by the gates, overall our experience has been very positive the schools keep in contact with parents and if you have a problem just pop in.
Good luck with the move.

I don't live in Saskatoon but do live in SK. There is no school for under fives but there are noth public and private preschools. Its up to the parents at that age to decide if and when a child goes to school.
