Worse.. is that I am in a country where I dont speak the local lingo at all!! so am soooo desperate for UK TV stuff...I watch sport on livesporton.tv and sometimes subscribe to the UK tv they offer on that site but am missing so many series stuff and thebox is the one that has it all BUT of course I have missed the 45 000 deadline too....sniff...sniff...looking rather sad faced here!

I use UKNova and hubs uses The Box - we're sure to find what we're looking for!
It took me a little while to get signed up to UKNova. Although they have a set membership level as well, they also delete dormant accounts after 45 days of inactivity. So if you keep trying, that registration box will appear eventually and you can then get an account.
I've found that if a program is shown on TV in the UK, the upload will generally be available that evening or the next day.
Best of luck to all of you in securing your accounts!

As for UKNova, I managed to sign up easily last week - I think they've abolished the invite system since the last time I visited it.
