If so, I agree with you...can't stand him. He states the obvious far too often and my eyes glaze over listening to him.

Yeah that's the guy.

This webpage may help.

http://canadiansportsfan.wordpress.c...-commentators/

Generally, Canadian TV takes the commentary feed from the 'world feed' in english which consists of english speaking (generally from the UK) commentators without the jingoistic bilge uttered by Ian Wright etc. That is generally the same 'world feed' that we get for the Premier League.
The commentators we get for the Premier League/Champions League games usually have a bit of character or 'distinction' about them though.

Those like John Helm for world cups and Euros...are a bit 'meh' and appear to have to commentate according to FIFA/UEFA edicts meaning they can't be the least bit critical.

The pre-game, post-game and halftime commentary is usually done in a studio in Canada by b-listers in Canadian soccer who ended up here. The one benefit is that we are spared the musings of Roy Keane and Glenn Hoddle etc.
I'd still rather have the cretins on ITV than nobody or all the Americanisms we get from the others.

Gerry Dobson is enthusiastic, Craig Forrest is decent - he's at least knowledgeable - and Danny Dichio's not too bad.

And the other Brits used by NBC are okay too.

Relatively speaking.

Try torrentz.eu ... it's basically a search for other torrent sites. I usually look there second if Pirate Bay hasn't yielded any results.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring with a suggestion. Requires being fairly tech savvy and having a bit of time to spare. The results are cool though.

I've been using a Raspberry PI (http://canada.newark.com/raspberry-pi-accessories) and running XBMC on it (http://xbmc.org/) and hooking it to my TV. A series of add-ons from http://www.xbmchub.com/blog/ hooks up to TV programmes, films, live streaming etc. There is also a program called Navi-X which streams lots of TV channels from all over the world including Sky Sports.

Yes, downloading isnt illegal (for personal use), but uploading (which you cannot really avoid with torrents) is where the problems can start. I've been doing it for 5+ years and never had any issues.

Cool. And thanks. Am surprised how bad the TV here is.

http://www.eztv.it Is good for downloading UK shows. Though I personally much prefer using, a usenet server for downloading, theres no uploading involved and if you use this program http://nzbdrone.com you can fully automate your TV Shows and get rid of cable TV for good!! It costs me $9.00 a month

You do need to be tech savvy to set this up, here is a good guide http://lifehacker.com/5771670/how-to...video-recorder (The Usenet-Based PVR)
