Folks -

Can anyone tell me, what size are Canadian bank notes ? $US size or slightly larger UK sterling size ?

I might need to buy a new wallet for hols :-(

I'd never thought about it before. But I noticed that when I went back to England at Christmas my Canadian-bought wallet was too small for British notes.

I would say usa and cdn bills are similar..


pound notes are larger.. wholly doodle!

but the real concern is all those loonies and two-nies.. those weigh ya down.. spend spend spend

Yes but pound coins and two pound coins (pound notes disappeared rather a long time ago!!! ) are actually much thicker and heavier than their Canadian counterparts.

Canadian notes are a very slightly smaller width, but a slightly larger height than U.S. ones.

British notes are still much larger and pound coins will not be able to fit in the average North American wallet.
