Default $3000-3500 what car?

I have a chance of being given a field job which requires me to have my own vehicle but mileage is paid for.

In England getting a decent car for £1500-2000 wouldn't be a problem but over here I'm seeing engine rebuilds, new clutches! no service history, lots of rust etc.

What cars would you recommend? It's got to be reliable and be able to pick up the mileage. Due to the nature of the driving AC and some power would be nice.

I was looking at Nissan altimas and civics but twice I've been told I need to pay for safety(???) which is 4-500 and emissions for another 100

Help!

92-96, mk1[jzs147] Toyota aristo 3ltr twin turbo jap import roughly 280-320bhp,

Totally impossible to give any answers until you break down and confess where you're going. Each province is different re: inspection requirements. I've had such good luck with my 2000 Windstar minivan I don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Download the free Autotrader app on your smartphone and search Ford vans 2000 - 2005 under $5000 within 300 km of where you're moving to.

go lease a brand spanking Civic for like $200/month then you won't need to worry about all the safety/emissions/engine rebuild bullshit.

It will probably be cheaper on insurance than an old, easy to steal, unsafe banger and you've got a nice looking reliable car to turn up to customers with.

I was thinking he exact same thing but I have been given a 3 month probation period, I don't want to commit to a lease incase they don't keep me on and I have like 0 credit as I've only been here 9 weeks

Don't forget you will pay tax on top of the price, even a private sale.

That is the law, all employees are on a probationary period for three months. Employers can do less, but few if any do.

Yeah normally I'd take it with a pinch of salt but I was told they fired the previous engineer after a month so not worth the risk imo

Don't expect much for $3.5k, probably a 10 year old car with 180,000kms+ for that price.

PT Cruiser, Chev Malibu, both great cars and you should be able to get a good one in your price range even with tax.
