Talking You're such a dag

Do some Aussies still use expressions like "dag" and "flamin' galah?" Or have they fallen out of favour?

What are the phrases of choice these days?

"Dag" for sure, "Flamin' Galah" only if you're Alf on Home and Away.

Yes! That's what I remember it from!
Has been years since I've watched it though - is he still in it?

You flamin' galah! I love it!

I remember reading that a dag is something you'd find on a sheep's backside, and is therefore a fab insult

I met a couple from NSW who used daggy a lot... just in conversation - ie, yeah, we've been free camping all week and are a bit daggy type of conversation.. the only time I came across it whilst travelling around..

I've a few friends that use "dag" a lot - very much a term of affection and yes it is the bit round a sheep's bum that all the poo sticks too

Definitely never heard "flamin galah" apart from Pom's taking the piss out of Aussies!

In my experience, the word dag is in use but to no where near the extent it was heard many years ago.
Bloody Galah was an expression my father would use at another driver usually.Flamming would have sounded a bit naff..more for tv.
Again a long time ago.Don't think i ever heard it during my recent decade plus in Australia.
