As long as it is warm and wet I am not too bothered.

I don't care if it's a cup as long as it's mug-sized.

Why would anyone buy tea that tastes and smells horrible like that? Is that what firemen drink?

My cousin brought it over last time he was down from Sydney!

Yeah, home made are the best! . Unfortunately there's a shortage of tannies (aunties) around here to make them. I buy them at Jumbo Importers in Colnbrook instead. They had a special on about a month ago (around £1,50 a box). The kids are thoroughly addicted to them so I bought 8 boxes. They lasted us just over two weeks

Yep, guilty as charged! I'm a Southerner for sure - it's warmer down here! I do like York though - beautiful place, and they've got nice tea rooms there too!

We had a trip to Whitby once and had a lovely fish & chip supper served up with.......mushy peas! Yuk! What the hell is that all about?!!

North/South divide - Bring it on!!

My North Yorkshire family only drink tea out of china cups; they say anything else and it doesn't taste right. They try to serve me instant coffee in them too - thankfully I have my own travel plunger mug

But of course! I have fish, chips and mushy peas every time I go back (I'm from 22 miles north of Whitby.) I'll be having them again in a few weeks. My Mum will insist I have white bread and butter with them too (she'll probably need to delegate the duty this time) and she'll have a cuppa with hers.
