Wouldn't work, after a few years, 11 degrees would feel like brass monkeys. Sounds chilly to me and it's about 6 degrees here at the minute.

Sorry Silly. I've often said I'd move to Cairns for winter but honestly if it drops down to 11, I may as well stop here. I quite like it but only because we have a wood burner.

Southern softy ... we have no form of heating, except closing the windows and an extra blanket

Do they even sell wood burners up there? I'd have to have one.

I don't know, I'll have to look. I presume they do as it gets properly cold up on the Tablelands.

I know.

I used to wear a t-shirt all year round in the UK (hard Northern girl, etc)... now, 2 years of living in Queensland has ruined me forever.

The news reader announces in shock that we had better prepare for cold weather as it's only a top of 15 today. Then everyone turns up to work in gloves, hats, scarves etc.

You know you've acclimatised when you do the same

Yky..... when you take a can of petrol to rescue your daughter and her ****wit boyfriend on the motorway and whilst he's filling the car you and daughter are hugging tightly to keep warm whilst he's in a tee shirt saying it's not cold. No sense, no feeling imo.
