YKYAIAW;
Your Telco company rings you to sell you their super new ADSL+2 package & you tell them that the last time the engineer came out the copper wasn't capable of supporting ADSL.
No,no no! We're now able to supply it to you.
Wait three weeks for the modem to arrive, plug it in to find that there's no signal. Ring the helpdesk every night for 5 nights only to be told that it will happen by 5pm tomorrow. Then last night they come clean & finally admit that there's no chance of ADSL.

When you go into the cop shop to report vandalism on your vehicle and the lady copper behind the glass says: Why you (I think she actually said yuse) telling me And I say: Isn't that what I need to do before I make an insurance claim? Her reply: How should I know.

At least in the uK they politely take your statement then when you're gone throw it away...

But you are still liable for the first 5 nights because those are their rules.

Your mobile phone supplier upgrades your network, and now you can only get a signal if you stand on the roof.

Is that Virgin? Our signal has been appalling for the past few days. Full set of bars showing up but nothing going out unless you walk up to the road, stand and spin on the spot. Not impressed.

is that a dolphin I spy....

you know you live.....when a family member sends an SMS to you about the fact he or she is boarding a plane to visit....and therefore the arrival must surely be imminent...but then an entire day elapses and several meals go by, and a sleep, before you start calculating on which day you might have to get a car to the airport.....

ykyaiAw:

The State Premier shows up at a school fete, complete with full media entourage, all the kids who've bought wooden bows and arrows from a craft stall start firing at him and the parents instead of scolding them simply manage a wry smile whilst wishing the weapons were more powerful and quietly wondering why the guy dared to show his face in the first place....

He may be our local member for now - but it seems pretty clear to me based on how people were talking that he wont get re-elected! I've never heard a politician be so comprehensively despised! (and lots of people admitting they *DID* vote for him but wont make the same mistake again)

One of my biggest bugbears about politicians. One place they should never be, especially with the media, is schools. They can go to Unis/TAFEs etc but they should stay away from schools. Really really pisses me off. Well done to the kids, hoped they hurt the ****wit.
