No prawns- bad for cholesterol levels, and i can't eat them if they are looking at me!!
Cold ham (had it hot tonight with asparagus, carrots and new potatoes) cold turkey breast and salad, followed by trifle. xmas pudding for tea, mince pies and very alcoholic cake as snacks/morning tea.

Finding ourselves unexpectedly stuck in Sydney for Christmas, today we went out for lunch. It was hell at Sydney Fish Market.

Aw, thanks Dorothy

We've been inundated with invitations since friends and friends of friends learned of our situation! We've been and got a ton of food, a couple of bottles of Veuve (and lots of bottles of slightly cheaper plonk) and we're just vegging out in our own place for the first time in many years. However we could well be spending part of tomorrow with a lot of very nice young men and having a gay old time

Does anyone know how many legs the average prawn has?

I was preparing them earlier and couldn't be bothered to count.

I will not be cooking a single thing tomoorow, cos it will all be done on the barbie.
Bacon, eggs, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes for breakfast with the rellies at our place all done on the barbie (or in the microwave in the case of the beans and toms)

Dinner will be crayfish and prawns on the barbie with some salad, with a sherry trifle following, with a fair sprinkling of alcohol in between.

In fact I really should go sample the alcohol to make sure it's ok for tomorrow.

Have a good one everyone, stay safe and enjoy yourselves.

Smoked salmon and scrambled egg on english muffins for breakfast. Down the beach for a bit and the dinner will consist of a lovely bbq'd red emperor with various salads including an avocado and prawn salad with lemon pepper dressing. Also have some prawns to have on boxing day whilst watching the cricket.

Prawns and shrimps belong to the same family as crabs and lobsters and are similar in a number of ways. They are decapod crustaceans, which means that they have 10 legs and a hard shell covering their body, although the shell that covers prawns and shrimps is much thinner and not as hard as the shell of most other crustaceans.
