According to Starbucks Australia website, there are 9 in NSW, 8 in QLD and 5 in Vic. Oh and it's GJs that's having the homophobic problems not Starbucks. Starbucks is just truly shite coffee, whereas GJ is just shite but with homophobic issues.

Re: Are You Boycotting Gloria Jeans?
Im a regular at my local GJ simply as in Darwin there a very few places where i can enjoy a latte with good company. The staff at my local branch are very freindly and they know my order and if my husband is with me know my order with out me saying anything. I find there coffee to be cheaper and nicer than coffee club which is the only other coffee place close to me. However when i have been to GJ in either the city or down in palmastone their coffee is not as nice , though the staff are just as freindly.
I dont think of them as being a franchise i just think of them being my local where the boss is a lovely yorkshire lass. Two of the other members of staff who are very freindly but look scary with piercings and tattoos (male and female) go out of the way to make you feel important.

Have had a couple of cups at GJs, the first we won in a competition, the second we were travelling and they were there where we stopped, coffee was ordinary.
Someone did rave to us about Wild Bean which I think might be connected with BP Service Stations, never tried it, anyone any ideas. We are not big coffee drinkers but will have one now and again, even McDonalds doesn't taste too bad to us.

Gloria Jeans franchisee's were even required to have a Mercy Ministries collection box on the counter of every store: http://www.smh.com.au/small-business...0418-smn9.html

I'm a long time Gloria Jeans boycotter as well...it is not hard given the coffee and the nail in the coffin was when I found out they are owned by prominent Hillsong members/managment who ran the discredited Hillsong group Mercy Ministries. Their treatment of the young women in their care demonstrated the morals of an alley cat.

I'm not a frequenter of these mass market coffee-shops at all, and know little about them, apart from observing the masses that wander through the CBD every day with cardboard cups held out in front of them like the Holy Grail. Having seen now that at least one of these places is associated with Hillsong I can now see the connection! They've been persuaded that their cardboard cup IS the Holy Grail!
I'll have what he's having:
