Default Xbox 360 - best deals?

Has anybody out there bought themselves (or their kids) an Xbox 360 for Christmas?

I think the time has come to invest in one, and just wondered where the best deals are.

Currently JB Hifi are in the lead with the dual controller, hard drive Pro version including 2 games for $495. Anybody seen it more keenly priced?

I got ours from EB Games.

Pulled a bit of a fast one really..they were doing deals if you traded in a PS2 or some other console with so many games.

Our lads have a ps2 and its years old and were getting an XBOX for xmas anyway but wanted to keep the ps2

So I traded the PS2 in with 10 games they didnt ever use and got the xbox for $335 saving $200...so with the 200 Id saved I went back in and bought them a brand new PS2 for $149
So I got a xbox and upgraded there ps2 to a brand new slimline

Cheeky eh

EB games will match any price you find and also if you buy games for xmas and theyre no good theyll exchange them for a different one before 14th Jan

You definately want to get the 360 elite version..........Comes with hard drive and better cooling fans which have overcome the all too common burnout problem!

I bought one when they first came out and paid the price for it. I still have it with 1 game and little use but they are better than the PS3 IMO

EB Games I would say is the best bet, even better if you have an old console or games you want to offload for a few $$.

JB are very often the best for good deals. They have to offer something for having such a ghastly shopping experience

What I've noticed with JB is that their prices change almost daily. You could go in tomorrow and if they've found something's being sold for less they automatically reduce the price further.
