Actually, I never thought I would forgive an indiscretion until Ashley Cole had one. Do you remember that 'hairdresser' with the bleached blonde hair with 4 inch roots? She was obviously as rough as guts. Nowt wrong with that, of course, but considering Ashley Cole could get nearly any woman he wanted, the fact that he chose her, and the fact that he threw up whilst sh@gging her, made me think that he must have been very drunk indeed.

In that case, I would have forgiven him.

I don't wish to comment on what he has done subsequently, though.

I don't think I could as it would drive me insane wondering where he was all the time. If he came home late I wouldn't know whether to believe him and would end up checking up on him trying to catch him out. When he leaves the house now I don't give it a second thought!! I wouldn't like to be in a relationship where I don't trust someone but I suppose you don't know what you would do until your in that situation.

It is different when it is a shared thing. It is all the furtiveness and dishonesty that I have a problem with. And the fact that they would rather w@nk over a picture of someone else than have sex with you...

fair enough. I know a bloke who feels lonely because his wife is obsessed with romance novels and the men in them ... possibly a similar scenario to guys obsessed with porn.

I've no probs with porn or those novels as a individual or couple stimulant/sex/romance aid.. however, if people consistently use them to avoid real relationships that's when the problems start imo..

No. And neither would I expect to be forgiven. Trust is earned and the cornerstone to a successful marriage in my opinion. Once lost, never really replaced.
