Just learnt that finding a good GP is difficult enough but a bulk-billing one nigh on impossible

I learned that if you tip a ride on mower on it's side & you chose the wrong side it will dump it's oil into the cylinder & hydraulic so bad you think the battery is a dud. Then you go to buy a battery & the smart arse salesman asks if you tipped it onto it's side recently.................
Well matey you talked yourself out of a new battery & I covered everything in sight with oil & petrol when I removed the plug & cranked it over.

Given that almost 80% of GP visits are bulk billed Australia wide I think that may be a location specific bit of knowledge.

I just moved (in Brisbane) and have already found multiple good GP's with no problem. Canberra is one of the hardest places in Australia to find a bulk billing GP. Only roughly 50% of GP visits there bulk billed.

It seems that everything is more difficult to obtain in Canberra.

Tipped it on it's side to change the drive belt, though I did once roll it down the block. It's a severe slope in places.

Ah, I see, had ours at various angles to replace/repair/curse various things.

We bought it second hand for $600 so can't expect much!

I prefer horses for yard maintenance

Our paddocks could have Japs in there fighting the war for all we know, too wet to let the horses in ...
