Yes.

I don't regret leaving behind some real shallow types... but then sadly I've found they also exist here too, but now I care less.

1. Yes, but I've not given them up, they are still there, just a fair distance away.
2. Without a shadow of a doubt. First four are totally irrelevant to normal life, London has nothing I want or need any longer but it doesn't bore me ;) and Europe? I've travelled and seen what I want to see now it's the turn of this neck of the woods.
3. Different beauty from UK countryside - no better or worse, just different and I love it.

It was probably easier for me than most as my family ties aren't all that great. Sure, -initially, I missed my friends very much, but I am still in touch with most of them (although I know that is completely different to actually being back in the same place as them). And now, I've made some great friends here, and this is my home now. Don't miss the shops really, I can get everything I need/want here very easily.

Great beaches are all around if you are (like most) relatively near the coast. I also reckon there's some amazing scenery here too. -In some ways I think it's more spectacular than what I left behind.

So, all in all, it was definitely worth it for me.

I can live without the UK shops, I can do without gravy granules and all the rest. You can make new friends, you can visit new places.

However I wish I hadn't left my family behind, that's something that (for me) has worsened over time. The older I get the more I realise life's priorities and - for me - it's not about beaches that you hardly ever visit or any of the other stuff. :(
