I feel ashamed to admit this but I hail from the arsehole of the world... Ellesmere Port. :o

Thank the Lord and the baby Jesus that I have just got my Permanent Residency and I'll never have to live there ever again.

I'm living in Perth at the moment and by the looks of things we'll never be able to afford our own place but we will never have to live in Chav-town ever again.

Yes, it really is that bad. I grew up thinking everyone was ashamed of their home town :(

It is a small world!! Where are you hoping to go in oz.
My family live up that way .
I am up here in sunny Eastham.

Hi
We are also from sunny Eastham . Surprised to see so many posts from the Wirral. Didn't think it was that bad a place to live, so many wanting to emigrate. Both our kids are in Aus so we are going on a Parental Contributory visa, applied in Feb 07 and trying to wait patiently.

Small world hey, yep heard about the shop closing such a shame. Perth is certainly better than Upton or anywhere I have ever lived on the Wirral, so glad we did the move. Looking back over the years we should have came out earlier, but either way we are having a good life down under and really don't ever want to go back.
Jenny
