Wii
Hi there,
does anyone have a wii? What do you think of them? They seem rather pricey for the games here, can anyone recommend anywhere which is good to buy them? Thanks |

Thanks We bought ours in Target $400 with a sports pack. I think you can probably get them but we waited for 3 months before we found somewhere that had them in stock - despite asking every time we went shopping. It was a case of see it - buy it!!! Lau |

Re: Wii
One last question, can you actually play against people in the UK from Australia? Some things say you can, some say you can't. Thanks

Re: Wii
NTSC and Pal are the main video formats throughout the world. NTSC is used in the US and Canada. Pal is used in the UK, most of Europe, Australia and South Africa. If you live in a Pal country the video format is not much of an issue since you will almost certainly be able to play both Pal and NTSC VHS tapes and DVDs.
The answer is most probably yes http://www.querycat.com/faq/16d8b755...ac36179ae1b8db |

Yes you can (as long as you have a broadband internet connection!) We bought Mariokart and played it against our friends in the UK - it is great fun, although it is let down by not being able to speak to them via the Wii at the same time. Part of the fun is laughing at eachother, but we got around it by using MSN/Skype at ther same time... I was always a Playstation fan, but getting the Wii has been great and is always good for a laugh and get to play it with the OH, which never happened with the PS2! Steve |

Thanks Jan Needless to say chipping invalidates any warranty, and downloading games is copyright theft! :o |
