The name can hardly be at fault. It's not a racist word in Australia so its connotation anywhere else in the world is irrelevant.

Once again, I have met several people (Aussies) who use the word in the racist context. I could tell you a joke I was told by this Aussie twat bar owner in Thailand to put it in context - but I probably shouldn't!

I'm not suggesting the cheese should be renamed btw.

Once again another decent thread disappears under a mountain of sniping, irrelevance and off topic rubbish.

People - seriously - if you have nothing useful to say don't hit the send button

Plenty awesome cheese here though. I wouldn't have bought plastic cheese in Europe either. Tassy stuff is superb as are their sparkling wines.
As I got Europe in twice in this post I have remained on topic too

I believe most would emigrate to Spain if it was an English speaking country. That's why we all go to OZ, we are just lazy

It's the Barbie The OP doesn't appear to have a problem, he's the one who asked about the cheese.

It's inevitable to go off topic slightly, but I'm sure at some stage it will get back on track.

Costs a fortune to move to Oz rather than Spain though.

But, yes if it was English speaking it would have been a possible destination for us.

Yes it does cost a fortune to emigrate to OZ, so even more reason they would probably choose Spain to save money (if it was English speaking)..Brits just chase the sun. If OZ was crap weather, would they still emigrate there, i think not

Any country with the weather we like where they speak English and where we would have got into as easily as here would have done. However only Australia ticked those boxes so it's all good that we love it really.

Tassie produces some good bries and camemberts. Unfortunately Aussie blue cheese is not great.

Well, having lived in UK, Dublin, Germany, Belgium, and Australia, and Mrs JTL from Hong Kong, we chose Australia.

There is no language barrier if we chose a European country (in Germany, you just shout back at them even louder than they shout at you). And we're pretty fluent with French.

I think we'd love France, we're checking France out later this year. But generally, we're happy with Oz.

France would be a whole new adventure, I'm just not sure if I could be arsed with the hassle of moving there.
