Thanks hon :) I don't read all my notifications either but that can be a problem as I just realised I had some birthday cards / messages from friends and they must have thought I was ungrateful / ignoring them when I didn't respond.... Oops....

I expect it's cos you don't like all the applications my old man had it and hated all the hearts and flowers stuff, mainly cos an ex school friend bombarded him with it all, he deleted his account before I could show him how to switch it all off:rolleyes:

I choose not to put my details on public display - I don't see the point.

That's just it, you don't have to be public. I have made it impossible for me to be found in a facebook search.

My Dad loves seeing our piccies and video messages - you can decide who sees what.

The privacy controls are good. I suppose for some of us, it is a nice way to keep in touch with certain people.:)

Re: whose on facebook?

I've just had my account cancelled because honestly I found it boring. A nudge, wink or a picture of a bottle of beer does absolutely nothing for me. I write to friends/relatives with news and ask them a question or two, they seem to be totally confused unless they can press a button to reply to me, most of the time I get no response or just the word OK. Perhaps I'm a boring old phart but I do prefer to have a real conversation/discussion with people. If I sent the same people this posting they'd respond with "Yes" or "OK" because they've lost the ability to compose a simple straight forward sentence. I see young people on public transport and in public places, they seem to communicate with grunts and facial expressions, if this carries on humans will lose language as we know it.

Some of my family photos are just for family. The only problem I am having is uploading a video using my webcan, Facebook just says error message and wont let me.

I love Facebook.

talking about that why am I not your friend yet:frown:

What I found on the face book which I found most disturbing, is most people put so much personal information on it.
when there are so many people out there who take all your information & use it for frauds & most be none the wiser.

I know, some poeple put where they go to school or where they work, and allow full access to other FB members.

Ive got a fake name and people cannot find me in a search and I certainly will not put where I live - well apart from Perth.

I'm on FB, real name, but only allow friends access, very little personal information, my friends already know that so why post it on FB?

Friends with Farideh!

I think it's a fantastic was to share photo/videos with friends and family. It's the first thing I check in the morning, (after emails of course!).

Im on loads of these type websites unfortunately (the joys of teenagers!!) and the privacy controls on facebook are the best out of them all because you can now control what each individual friend can see on your profile, however there are still kinks.

For example, on facebook, one of my workmates has her photo albums on a setting so that workmates cant see it - and we cant - not on her profile page anyway, however there is a way round it which meant I could see them all (accidently I found this out I would like to add!!)

Ive emailed the facebook admin about it, so hopefully it will get changed, but its just to say to still be careful. x

Hornchurch is ok for now but is changing fast flats going up everywhere:curse: and turning into a mini Romford. When did you leave? As for the vanilla rooms we are hoping when funds let us to open a trendy funky salon. My OH works in a funky barbers in Hornchurch so hope to take that look over with us, which might not help as it will be in Adelaide:lol:
