I'll go for a nearly topical one Santa Claus, although he's none existent all kids have heard of him, parents spend a fortune and he gets all the credit, he's got a better delivery system than any other courier mail service and after years of telling your kids beware of strangers which other fat bloke in a red suit would parents let their kids sit on the knee of and give them the impression he breaks into your house overnight.

Once knew someone who used to be hypnotised so she could spend more time with her granny as when she was under hypnosis she thought her granny was really there.

Now that it a trick choice hedging your bets, as you eventually take on your parents persona with age, so by picking a parent you make yourself more impressive as you are now at that age where you've turned into them... does that make sense?
