Welcome to the back end of this La Nina cycle, this should be the last La Nina summer for a while unless things unexpectedly reinvigorate next year.
This summer will likely be wetter than normal in Sydney with much more cloud cover. There will still be hot days of course, but wont last long so make the most of them.
I dont mind summers like this as I have been through a few El Nino summer stinkers. There will be plently of hot summers to come for Sydney so enjoy the rain and the fact everything is nice and green
And those up in Queensland get ready for another bad tropical cyclone season potentially.

The west coast did. It's been in the mid to high 30's for the past 4 days.

I wore a jumper to go out last night. I don't ever remember doing that in December, and I have been here 25 years.
Damn this global warming.....

Unless the Australian Government want to employ me to wander around the country, bringing cooler temps and copious amounts of rain to barren areas

its days like this where i revel in the fact that although Brits are stereotypically portrayed as having an unhealthy interest in moaning about the weather, Australians hypocritically wont stop whinging about it.

I am loving the rain, I have severe dry eyes and this rain and humidity is a welcome relief.

it still beats four months of continual gray skies and rainfall in slow motion
