We can see the smoke from our house, so you should be able to see it from yours

We live just accross the road from the park and the helicopters have been filling up from the lake at the bottom of our street. They've blocked of the roads at the Gnangara rounabout and are hoping to get it out soon.
Hope the animals are safe.

I thought I would share some of the pictures taken at the lake at the bottom of our road of the helicopters collecting water to fight the fire.

Good grief, that's one of my old stomping grounds!

Such a beautiful place... how awful to think of it all going up in smoke. :(

Does anyone have any upto date news on the fire & areas that have been evacuated. I live in Morgan fields Henley brook & am wondering if anyone from this area has been evacuated? The helicoptas did a great job, hope that the worst is over & that no one has been injured. Does anyone know when the fire started.

Thanks, Love Sarah.

No-one's knocked on my door yet so I assume everything is under control.

A friend of mine was in the park when the fire started, she said many families got split up and it was really scary.
Think they have saved the buildings and hopefully the animals.
I was in the local shops earlier and they were stocking up on provisions for the services.
Hope they manage to put it out.

We were blissfully unaware of the potential threat of evacuation, as you can see from my previous photos, everybody from Morgan Fields, Henley Brook, were down at the lake's edge watching the skills of the helicopter pilots. :scared:
